As a result of fall season weather changes many people have suffered from upper respiratory tract infections. These harsh viruses and bacteria don’t seem to discriminate against certain age groups. Young, old and in between people are complaining about cough, nasal congestion and sinus drainage that does not appear to be entirely related to allergy triggers.

This period of the year is a perfect set-up for a horrible flu season. I am trying to vaccinate as many people as I can in my allergy office. If you are over 6 months of age, are not egg allergic and have not had serious side effects from a previous flu vaccination you should get your flu shot ASAP!

If you thought the flu vaccine was just for people with chronic illnesses you were wrong. The Centers for Disease Control Recommends flu vaccination for most chronically ill as well as healthy people in order to avoid the ravaging symptoms of flu syndrome and as well, prevent the spread of it to others.
