1) Ragweed allergy is the most common seasonal allergy in America.


2) Ragweed season usually begins the first of September and ends with the first frost (assume you live in the Midwest).


3) Ragweed is also known as goldenrod which can be found in vacant lots, along roadsides and riverbanks.


4) Ragweed does not require insects for pollination.


5) One ragweed plant can emit a billion pollen grains.


6) Ragweed season can be better tolerated by starting certain allergy medications 10-14 days before the season begins.


7) If you do not respond to allergy medications there is no hope.
